I think he has the right to claim whatever ancestry that he wants. It is his ancestry. I for one just do not care about things like that. He he does not want to be black, and wants to down play that part or who he is, that is his choice.

I always thought Tiger Woods was a pacific Islander, I didn't know he was part white. Yes I think 12.5% is enough to claim that you are part whatever race (in this case white).BQ: Probably because the word sounds better that way. I don't think he was trying to be white by putting the 'Ca' part first.

No, not in my opinion. He is really more Chinese/Thai and black than he is white and native american. But people can label themselves what they want. Even if it looks ridiculous just like whites claiming their 2% native ancestry or blacks doing the same thing. I think of him more as biracial than 'cablinasian'.

It truly is his choice. He can claim his white ancestry because it's a part of his ancestry. No one really should judge his choice of how to identify himself---we all want that right. Sure, it can be hurtful and offensive to others who would like to "claim" him for their culture, but still in the end we shouldn't be judging others on the color of their skin, or the skin color they choose to identify themselves as predominantly, because we all desire the same right.

Now tiger woods has 12.5 % white in him. Now is that really enough for him to claim himself as being part white as i and so many other black people i know have more white ancestry in us then he has but we don't try to claim this white part that we have in us.BQ- why did tiger woods put the caucasian part of Cablinasian first when he has the least of this compared to the black and asian in him?
