I do not think his best days are behind him at all, in fact his best days may very well be ahead. It was hard to watch him yesterday, he's never lost a two shot lead on a Sunday at a Major-- ever! As huge of a Tiger fan as I am, I must admit he played awfully. Just his decision making was off and his putting was not as sharp as it usually is. He did not read the greens well, whereas he usually sinks those putts to close the door and win.I think a lot of it has to do with his long lay-off after knee surgery last year, his timing isn't all the way back yet. He'll get there, but he'll have to wait until 2010 to challenge for a Major at the Masters in April.

There is a degree of truth to the double standard, but it doesn't make it right. Tiger will lose millions of dollars from all this... especially after more information becomes public. I personally think this is worse than what Kobe did. Kobe was wrongly charged with rape because a woman he had an affair with tried to extort him. Tiger reportedly has had multiple affairs with multiple people and is being far to stuck up to talk publicly about it like Kobe did.Now one thing you're mis-comparing with the Chris Brown Rhianna thing is that the abuse there involved legal proceedings and law breaking. I think Tiger is going to lose his endorsement deals and it has little to do with the events that have occurred recently. The reasons for that is that he's getting older and his playing isn't as consistent as it used to be. Advertisers want a hot young talent and he's not really either of those anymore. Public interest in him has been cooling for some time now and the advertisers are seeing it.

In my view I think that Tiger Woods should not be blamed regardless of his infidelity. For example when Chris Brown beat up Rhianna even though it was alleged that they were other incidents where she had hit him before he still lost his endorsements and respect and his audience. If it had been other way around Tiger Woods would have lost his endorsements and would have been looked at. Anyone going into a final pairing with Tiger on Sunday is beat before they start if they don't have their head in a stong and confident place. As a PGA tour player, I would definitely practice my behind off to try to beat him in any tournament, especially a major. I wouldnt dislike Tiger because there is no reason to dislike him except for the fact that he crushes his competition. The other golf players may dislike him because of all the media attention and that is not Tiger's fault. You cant deny his talent even if you dislike him. Today, in my opinion, being a golf player on the PGA tour means winning tournaments with or without Tiger, but especially when Tiger is present. You beat Tiger and youre career as a golfer is set. Other golfers, the media, nor Tiger would even doubt your golf skills. IF this is true, then Tiger was likely running away from his wife.2) Wife was then chasing Tiger with a golf club and smashes the rear window. Logically, local police have 4 interesting theories on why Woods crashed his car onto his property like he did:1) Crash happened while Woods himself was the VICTIM of domestic abuse by violence from his wife.2) Crash happened while Woods was violent towards his wife while operating the car.3) Alcohol impairment ( something that by now--days later--would have left his system....unless.....)4) Illegal drug toxication---likely substances banned by the PGA. It's a question of semantics really. Contrary to the previous poster when I look up the definition of athlete on dictionary.com I read distinctly.athlete -noun "a person trained or gifted in exercises or contests involving physical agility, stamina, or strength; a participant in a sport, exercise, or game requiring physical skill."So there you go, even if you think golf is not a sport but only "a game requiring physical skill" Tiger Woods fits that particular definition as a participant. Obviously golf does not require the the same degree of versatility, conditioning and stamina as other sports/activities. I'm not sure you want to cite baseball as an example of this however, as we've seen the likes of David Wells, etc. Tiger Woods himself could probably excel at many physical activities given his conditioning, it's not a prerequisite for a golfer however. So even if you think he doesn't demonstrate his great athleticism in his vocation it doesn't mean he's not an athlete either.

Tiger's wife roughed him up then chased him outside with the golf club. He should have stayed in the house and if he wanted to protect her just explained that his injuries were from falling down a flight of stairs. I admire him for not fighting back. A lot of husbands would have lost control.

I think the difference between the cops and tiger is that the cop story is a real story and makes sense. If the story went like this..........four cops in a store on their computer were shot and no one seen anything and there was a rumor that they were terrorists........people in their minds want to solve the problem whether its their business or not but the truth came out quickly and the problem was resolved. No different from 25 hurricanes in Florida..........everyone wanted to know what's wrong and they want to fix, change, their ways or thoughts about something...........People want to make an adjustment. Let's face it...he is a georgeous, focused, likeable sports hero and has a lot of groupie women followers who think all men are fair game. He was weak in the flesh to our surprise. I have great sympathy for the heartbreak his wife suffers. She has lost trust in this man who is her husband. He has proven himself to be just a man, just a good golfer. We all need to just get over it. He had EVERYTHING going for him now didn't he? It appears it was not enough. Some people are like that...we just didn't expect Tiger to be one of them. I think he had a big fight with his wife over no-telling-what and she scratched up his face. He was not drunk. He stormed out and got into his car while she gave chase with a golf club. Wham! She smashed in his REAR window with the club, causing him to lose control, glance off a hydrant and drive into a tree, falling unconscious. One way or the other, he got out (maybe with her help) and they started to concoct a cover story.Now he's being a gentleman and trying to keep her out of hot water by cooperating with the cover story. But no matter how much people protest that it's none of anybody's business, she may be guilty of spousal abuse, filing a false report and no telling what else. The authorities have a few questions.

I think people need to stay out of his life and leave him alone, wow big whoopie he cheated on his wife that's his problem-many can only dream of living even close to his life. The fireplug he ran into was not his fireplug..it is OUR fireplug..government property...and the destruction of it he should have to answer to.If you ran in to a fireplug and destroyed it and trees you would get a ticket. and you would pay that ticket or else.Tiger is not above the law, remember?He himself, has put his family in the public eye and has become an idol of young children. Inquiring minds need to butt out!!! It's Tigers business and no one Else's!!! Stories like this is what has ruined the media. Who truly cares? I myself would much rather hear the news of the day that affects my life personally than about some bs that does not matter. Greed driven media and people that buy into the crap they print or show gives younger generations bad examples. We as a country wonder at times where morals have gone to but, do very little to stop loud mouth media from reporting others dirty laundry. Clearly there are allot of things best left unsaid. Whether or not a person has money,fame,or is just an average Joe we are all human subject to temptations. People don't need to know everything about others on a personal level. All this type of media does is create a nation of people who judge others,give stalkers more info than they need,and shows our young people that look up to them that its ok to do the same things they have done wrong. Even if a star has done something wrong at a minimal level we shouldn't be over anylising anyone who is a hero that a child looks up to. O.J. Simpson deserved to be exposed for what he did but, even that they made a circus out of it. I agree with freedom of the press and freedom of speech but, laws should be passed to keep trash news like this off the shelf. If a reporter cant find a real news story, then they should find another job.

Tiger, in my mind, has proven to be a weak little man. He cheated on his wife. Based on the timing, it appears as though he cheated while she was pregnant, not that cheating is ever good. Then he tried to lie to her. Got caught. She got mad, attacked him and his car, causing him to be in an accident. Woods has made his money and his fame. Now he needs to chill out and show a more human side because the press will knock him down if he continues with his arrogant approach and giving nothing to anyone but himself. He needs to start doing charity work big time. This need not cost much but he should host a few chairity events - get the press on his side! When John Daley won the US open (once only) he immediately gave at least half of his winnings to charity. Now Big John has had a few problems (alcholic etc) but he is a larger than life fella who would always pull someone out of the ditch. Would Tiger do that? I think she has proof that he cheated, banged him in the face with one of his golf culbs as he staggered outside to get away from her, she dazed his lyin a**. He passed out by the time he pushed on the gas and crashed. She chased him outside and broke his windows out with the golf club. When she saw him crash, she was like "OH, Shizz!" And ran back inside before anyone saw her.
